These are Tennessee Redback rabbits a common type of rabbit. These rabbits are the closest breed to the American cottontail. They can vary in size but most are a pretty average size. I observed these rabbits in canton, NC right in my back yard. These rabbits roam in grassy fields and wooded patches.

The common greenshield lichen is common type of moss in WNC. This picture was taken in canton, NC on a tree trunk. This type of moss is medium to large in size and has a distinctive pale green color. It can also range in many different sizes. This type of moss grows in tree trunks.
