In 15 minutes caught 19 mosquitoes. There were 4 species present, most albo (13, 3 males), also Wyeomyia mitchelli (3), Culex quinquefasciatus (2), and one aegypti.

This is at the Kehena Beach subdivision mailboxes where most of the people here go to collect their mail.

Description

Four females caught by net on second story lanai. A bug zapper had one Aedes but could not ID because was too old and decayed. Did not see any albopictus this time. Has been lots of rain recently. No Culex or Wyeomyia either.

10 meters inside jungle, very damp it's been raining a lot recently.
One male and one female. Also saw Wyeomyia but still no aegypti even though I can catch them 30 - 40 m from here at the house.

Description

a number of mosquitoes here, next door to a house that Durrell and I visited a few weeks ago - it has a lot of standing water and LOTS of mosquitoes. This location is about 20 NW of the earlier one, so likely the same set of mosquitoes. Four aegypti and one albo.

Description

Caught indoors sitting on wall. Watched it expel fluid drops from abdomen, which can be seen in the photos. ID as Wyeomia instead of Culex because of the dark hind legs.
