Description

Location: backyard; Habitat: leaf mulch; Size: cap - ~15 cm, stem - ~ 8-12 cm; cap: reddish brown, gold, dry, flat, curls up on edges. Pores: decurrent, gold; No volva, no ring, slight bluing or bruising on stem. Stem - shaggy - couldn't see pores on stem.

Parkway, mulch, location where a magnolia tree was removed a year ago. Clump of 4 caps, Largest cap - 20 cm diameter, stem - 12 cm. Cream color, smooth and dry. Latex absent. Gills of varying length, adnexed. No ring or volva.
