I've had life-long interests in nature and photography, so I've combined both interests by doing nature photography, especially of birds and bugs. I've photographed many arthropods in and around my home, so the "Never Home Alone" iNaturalist project seems like a good fit for me. I have a personal website , thegreenjay.com, with photos of well over 300 birds species and well over 400 moth species, but I've photographed many other arthropods as well. I'd like to upload all of my observations and photos to iNaturalist, but this will be a big job.

Recently, I added a new album, Arthropods of a Suburban Yard and Home, with 1039 photos of insects, spiders, and other arthropods taken around and in my home near Rochester, NY USA as of Feb. 4, 2024. I've contributed over 1,500 photos to BugGuide.net.
