I am an (officially) retired research meteorologist who most recently worked for NOAA for 22 years. My work and personal travel has taken me to more than 40 countries. I have been mostly interested in succulent plants, birds, and reptiles and amphibians. My current interest is focused on biogeography topics using satellite data and also aspects of environmental education. With my wife we maintain a nature-focused webpage where we put most of our educational content and photos.
