04/17/13 - I have always been a 'student' of nature. I worked for the PA Game Commission from 1988-1998 and that provided me with a vast education. My immediate supervisor, Bob Snouffer, would point out something that he found interesting and always followed it with "Stick with me and I will teach you all kinds of useless information." and a wink. When my nephew visits, he reminds me of when I was his age (13 years old) and he turns over every rock and log that he can find. I still enjoy all wildlife and when I find something that I can not identify, I have to do some research. I now have twin grandsons (20 months old) and I look forward to teaching them 'useless information'. When I discovered iNaturalist I was very impressed and had to join the community. Thanks for giving us a place of science and community!
