Thanks to the people helping me with plant identifying.

I'm a bird listener and a budding plant explorer. I was a bird watcher for many years and now accept that mainly you only get to hear the furtive buggers. (Larkwire is excellent app for learning bird song; Cornell's Birdnet helps when I falter.)

I'm in a wheelchair but have found that access to plants is decent along bike trails and in the U.W. Arboretum. Been learning botany the past year. What I don't know is a lot. I wrote a computer program to collect info about plants. It is a bit like a project from the professor in the movie "A Beautiful Mind."

I use Plantnet & iNaturalist to ID plants and experience a happy rush of serotonin when they agree. I'm slowly getting skills at doing plant ID myself but will go to my grave unable to distinguish the fleabanes.
