After graduating in Environmental Biology from Swansea University in 1992, I was fortunate enough to get a job as a Galapagos Naturalist Guide. This work and the Galapagos Islands have been my base since then.
For three years, my family and I were based in Guayaquil. This was an eye opener to the extreme contrast in diversity to Galapagos. Venturing out to the Andean slopes and varied micro-climates placed us in the path of new endemics every few miles.
For 15 months starting in 2010, my family and I spent time living in rural South west France where I observed more I started to appreciate European wildlife. Short holidays from here to Extremadura, Spain in spring and Kerala, India, added to the lists of flora and fauna.
Up until June 2013, I worked on the species image database for the Charles Darwin Research Station in Galapagos. After that, with my family, I moved once again and am settled in Horsham, W.Sussex, UK. I currently work on my travel agency, organizing tours, mainly for student groups, to Galapagos. I also rent out my house on a vacation rental basis!
If anyone would like to come out looking for nature with me or I can discover a new place with someone, please drop me a line! I look forward to it. I’m particular interested in birds and wild flowers.
