I have a love of the ocean and it's animals. I am a keen angler and part time commercial tuna fisherman, and this puts me in a position where I am fortunate to be able to observe the astonishing abundance of life that inhabit the South African coastline.
As the years go by, I find the catching of fish to be less of a motivation to be out and about on or at the sea. Am I getting soft?
Who knows!
I just can't help but feel that just maybe, we need to start leaving these beautiful creatures in peace.
Though I do like a good piece of fish...
