Did a Science degree at UWA with major in Botany and half major in Molecular Biology (genetics). Never worked as a Botanist but have volunteered in the Albany Regional Herbarium and learned quite a bit about our local plants. Became interested in lichen at the ARH in 2011 and managed to get to a point where I can recognize some genera and a few species. Had a lot of help from Ray Cranfield (who was curating the lichen specimens at the Perth Herbarium) up until his retirement. Also interested in all our wonderful invertebrates.
