I was born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, and I graduated with a degree in wildlife management and conservation from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt (2026). I'm also a member of the Hawaiʻi Bird Records Committee and an eBird regional reviewer primarily for Honolulu County.

Birds are my primary interest and have been since a fifth-grade field trip to the James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge. The Bristle-thighed Curlews stuck with me most and things snowballed from there. The thing about Hawaiʻi is that there comes a point where the new-bird-accumulation-curve really levels off, and in the summer of 2023, I started paying closer attention to the other stuff with iNaturalist.
