I'm currently fascinated by Piedmont/Appalachian fire adapted plants and habitats around the DMV (there aren't so many), edaphic endemism, and rare plants.

I ID a lot of Lespedeza spp. mostly because the native and invasive species are look-alikes and there are a lot of un-identified observations, some from habitat managers needing to know if they should spray or not.
