I'm the plant ecologist at California State Parks' North Coast Redwoods District. As part of my work we survey for and monitor rare plants in the parks.
From 2019-2021 I got to use iNaturalist in environmental education in Brandenburg, in my native Germany, before moving back to Northern California.
I have a master's in Environmental Science with a focus on Forest Ecology, spend a lot of time exploring the diverse ecosystems of Northern California.

I find it more convenient to share observations here than on Calflora / Calphoto and am glad that iNaturalist shares observations with other databases.
