Hello!
After focusing my graduate studies on Native North American art (specifically basketry and all the wonderful plants involved in weaving and dyeing them), I have gradually become more and more interested with the plant world. I've hiked my entire life, but in the past few years I've now focused my attention on the smallest features of the trail, seeking out ephemeral spring flowers or small mosses and grasses.
I have a large backlog from the many different places I've lived in and traveled to, so this account is mostly adding those before new content. I also do not purport to be any kind of expert (except when it comes to bloodroot, river cane (Arundinaria gigantea), white oak, etc. and how you can make the coolest baskets from them, ha.) I'm also slowly creating a native plants garden so some photos may feature that.
Thanks!
