Conservation Field Botanist for the State Botanical Garden of GA.
I also sprinkle a little contracting work on top here and there - generally botanical survey and monitoring of rare plant species in Georgia and North Carolina - for various state agencies and environmental consulting firms.
I teach courses at SBG: Spring Wildflowers of the GA Piedmont, Introduction to Graminoid ID, and the Natural Communities of Georgia.
B.S. & M.S. Biology - Thesis on differences in taxonomic and phylogenetic diversity within GA coastal plain seepages.
I like sedges. Rhynchospora oligantha is my No. 1. Eleocharis tortilis taught me the fine line between confidence and arrogance. Fuirena reminds me of old friends. And Schoenoplectus feels like home.
