{If you need me, send a message.}
I’m a third-year Biodiversity and Ecology student at Stellenbosch University, with a deep love for nature - especially plants. Conservation is close to my heart, and I’m most fulfilled when I know I’m making a difference, one plant at a time. Few things excite me more than hiking in search of elusive mountain rarities - they add just the right amount of ‘spice’ to an already rewarding adventure!
I joined CREW (Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers) in my first year at Stellenbosch, back in 2024. Coming from the rolling grasslands of Wakkerstroom, I had little experience with Fynbos, but I was eager to learn. Before I knew it, I found myself leading the Cape Winelands CREW group, based in the greater Stellenbosch area - a role that continues to challenge and inspire me.
I enjoy using iNaturalist as a platform to learn and to help with identifications whenever I can. If you've seen me active on plant IDs, feel free to tag me in your observations — I’m always happy to assist.
My main interests at the moment are the Bruniaceae and the genus Isoetes in South Africa.
If you’re passionate about plants, hiking, or conservation, I’d love to connect. Reach out and get involved!
