Hi there! I'm Robert — lifelong learner, energetic nature geek, and someone who genuinely gets excited about new observations.
Raised in Arkansas (The Natural State), I've lived in Texas since 2005 and now live in South Central Texas. I've always felt connected to the outdoors. What started as taking photos on walks turned into tracking first blooms, noticing new species, and watching patterns unfold across the region. Becoming a Master Naturalist and diving into iNaturalist only deepened that connection. There's something powerful about thousands of people documenting life together.
I'm a member of the Texas Master Naturalist Alamo Area Chapter (Class 51), and I help co-organize the City Nature Challenge in the San Antonio Metro Area (12 counties), encouraging folks to get outside and notice what they see. The observations we make today become real data that helps protect and care for nature tomorrow. That's a pretty good reason to stop and photograph that "one more" plant or insect.
Native plants, trees, and pollinators hold most of my attention (but I've been known to get distracted). I'm always learning.
If you're here to document, identify, or just get started — you're in the right place.
See you in the field!
