I'm a shark and ray biologist at the Marine Megafauna Foundation (www.marinemegafauna.org). I'm also a keen wildlife and underwater photographer, working with Sony NZ as a Digital Imaging Advocate (https://scene.sonyanz.com/our-hosts/advocates/simon-pierce).

I live in the wildlife wonderland of Kaikōura, New Zealand. When I'm at home in summer, I fill in as a marine mammal guide for South Pacific Helicopters, and often host (free) photo walks / meet-ups for Sony (see link above).
