I grew up in many places and developed a long-standing love of natural history and travel. I work with mollusks, especially land and freshwater snails, and spend much of my time studying and caring for museum collections. These groups are among the most endangered animals but are still poorly known, and I’m especially interested in documenting their diversity as a first step toward understanding and conservation.
