I'm a Senior Lecturer in Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. I did my PhD on insect parasitoids, still interested in insects (and most groups of plants and animals) but now focus on birds. I've taken part in 37 University field trips to Trinidad and Ecuador and do a lot of similar trips in Scotland. I am a British Trust for Ornithology licenced bird ringer and trainer and I love introducing my students to the natural world.
Central Europe is my favourite part of the world to visit on holiday, I just wish I had more time to upload my images to iNaturalist.
