Description

Standing on a path trying to photograph a butterfly and my son spotted this.

There werea pair of them, walking around in the low bush and further down was another pair. This particular one was about 2m away from us and quite happy to carry on eating while I took heaps of photos.

I am guessing that this is the Carnaby's black cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus latirostris) and not the Baudin's (Long-billed) Black Cockatoo
Zanda baudinii.
