Wet depression in pine woods. Culm 80cm, wiry; leaves 40cm x 1mm, inflorescence small turbinate clusters of spikelets, bract exceeds inflorescence. Spikelet 4mm. Achene "bota bag," smooth, biconvex, 1.9mm x 1.7mm +1.8mm subulate tubercle, bristles slender, reach nearly to end of tubercle.
