A small tree, growing along the fenceline at the edge of a large pasture or grain field. This old tree, is just a few meters high and has cherry-like red berries. A similar tree, I believe the same species, is found on the lawn next to the laguna monte redondo about 800 m to the north, but I haven't noticed other examples. I've wondered if that tree was a leftover from the original forest, but it could be that both trees were planted many decades ago, perhaps even before the start of the agriculture school near 80 years ago.
