This is why you make sure your dogs (and cats) are not interested in killing birds BEFORE making your garden bird friendly... Always be aware of what your pets are doing in your yard. Unfortunately, it was too late for this little guy, so now we have to work a lot harder to keep our dog sight or make sure he's on his long leash. I will be bringing this wren to the local vertebrate zoology foundation, frozen, so they can use it as a study specimen or skin.
