Description

This was one of two or three wild Galapagos tortoises I saw. There are large numbers of them in confined areas or nurseries. This tortoise emerged from the brush and a line of us froze when it began walking down the path adjacent to the wall of tears. I was backed up against the wall and stock still, when it stopped, turned and bit my shoe. It checked out the shoelace, the other shoe, then continued on down the way.
