Description

These ferns protrude from the trunk of other trees. Their leaves are long, shaped like vintage blades, and arranged alternatively on each "branch", which means each leaf is not placed opposite from another. Based on the information I retrieved from the Florida Invasive Plants database, I believe this is an Asian sword fern (http://www.plantatlas.usf.edu/flip/plant.aspx?id=51).
