Dozens of these bees were found around where Crane Creek flows through Big Meadow. Many were apparently either eating or drinking from the damp grass stems.

After I posted my this observation, I realized I had photographed two distinct individuals, one with more golden hair and another more silverish. In response I split the observation. The other bee can be found here:
