Southwestern Creek Crayfish (Procambarus dupratzii)

Description

This specimen was found on June 3rd, 2021 in the Lavender Branch in turbid water with light to moderate flow due to recent rains. The location that it was found has clay substrate with a good amount of rounded river rocks in the creek bed. It is apx 3.25 inches long from tip of the rostrum to the tip of the tail. This specimen is male.
