Definitely the bird of the day. Digiscoped thru the guide's spotting scope. Colors adjusted in Photoshop.
N. macrorhynchos has been split, with all authorities now recognizing 2 sp: N. macrorhynchos sensu stricto (now called the Guianan Puffbird; restricted to eastern S Am) & the even larger-billed N. hyperrhynchus (avibase.bsc-eoc.org/species.jsp?lang=EN&avibaseid=6FE...). I have included N. macrorhyncos tags for compatibility with Clements 5, which the Field Guide group is stuck with, but that name is obsolete.
