Description

The titmice in a narrow swath of central Texas are very interesting as they are hybrids or interbreeds between Black-crested and Tufted. I posted some info from a titmouse at this same location a week or so ago at:
http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/1077892
and today I had occasion to be there so I took a few photos. There appeared to be several probably Black-crested Titmice which I will post separately, but also a number of birds with mostly gray crests but dark rufous patches above the bill which appear to be one of the hybrid types. Three images posted.
