Description

On Abies magnifica or Pinus contorta, at snowmelt. Older ones are darker in color. Has lots of cottony mycelium. Taste strongly of mushroom, very similar to Trametes versicolor.

Found with Alison Pollack and Debbie Klein.

Spores smooth, dextrinoid, measuring

Q = (1.6) 1.7 – 2 (2.1) ; N = 30

Me = 9.8 × 5.4 µm ; Qe = 1.8
