Description

"Shortly after we moved to our house in East Pasadena, while on a walk south of Colorado Blvd. we continually ran across peacocks. I could not help but wish that they would come to our house and the next morning we had three peacocks waiting outside our gate. Since then as many as a dozen peacocks and hens visit almost daily! Although they have eaten a good bit of our edible garden and dug holes to nap in we have loved their visits, watching the males "eye" feathers grow as well as well as witnessing their dancing! One day they even showed up with a little grey chicken!"

"We have several cats and they are fascinated with the peacocks. We also have hanging feeders for seed and hummingbird nectar outside windows which keep them entertained for hours. My cat, Periwinkle, has tried to rush and chase the peacocks in the past but quickly learned that they will open their wings and chase her right back! Now she just sits nearby them and dreams!"
