Description

Distant shot of Sagebrush Sparrow. Sagebrush Sparrow is an uncommon wintering bird of some desert habitats in west Texas which may be locally common in some areas. Formerly known as Sage Sparrow, that species was split a few years ago into Sagebrush Sparrow and the far western Bell's Sparrow. Bell's Sparrow does not occur in or near Texas.
