Alien Oaks: sacred trees!
This clump - like several others - are being retained in the wilderness area: some much for wilderness!
Regarded as sacred by many, these are great places to park cars (gods of gods - you see why!) while hiking. Unfortunately they are spreading in the rivers: the days of herds of hogs being sustained by the acorns are over. Hogs are not sacred: they are food!
Unfortunately, CapeNature does not appear to have the resources to control the spread, although occasionally the electives are hacked to ground level ...
