Bartholina on the way
I've been keeping a close watch over our Bartholina patch - I've counted at least 70 leaves in this one area this season. Here's progress since July, and I'll add some flowers pics once they open (gods willing and them baboons don't show ...).
UPDATE: First flowers appeared mid October
UPDATE: 25 Oct - approx 30 flowers are open.
UPDATE: 10 Nov - 50 flowers open. Some flowers pollinated and showing swollen area under the (dead) flower
UPDATE: 13 Dec - only a handful of flowers still open; many have seed heads and some are already shedding seed. Thanks to Anthony and Wendy for the microscope shots of the flower.
UPDATE: I was curious. to know when the leaves first appear and have been keeping an eye on the area. On 22 April I noticed the first clusters of small leaves.
