Ox-eye daisy (Callilepis leptophylla)
Ox-eye daisy (Callilepis leptophylla) Reservoir Hill, Ladysmith.
Most striking large white daisy with fine leaves (meaning of species name). Almost think it was a cultivated plant. I wonder why not?
Very stony up on the hill which agrees with red list description. Young flowers more yellow, cf Alison Young's observation. Quite a number of groups. Very dry. Burnt ground.
Sorry about multiple ID. Internet v poor and uploaded in twos.
