Description

The life and probable death of Lemonbelly - Montagu WCape

This is the first time I've seen this gent properly. And probably the last...:-(

He pootled through the tree, and then went off on a busy hunting day. I could hear his progress being heralded down the riverbed, and I kept an ear out to track his course.

About 1.5 hours later I heard a real racket from the starlings, and investigation revealed a jackal buzzard winging away from the treetops with a snake in his talons (being bombed by starlings).

I think this was the demise of Lemonbelly, which makes me quite sad :-(
