Abundant in frequently mowed lawns - thousands of plants occur along the Summerstrand beachfront. Mowing is a threat as it interferes with the reproduction of the plants: this year most of the plants were mowed while in flower, so no seeds were produced. Any tips on how to engage with local government regarding these matters? There are actually several threatened plant species in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro that are being mowed at inappropriate times (assuming there is an appropriate time).
