Carrion flower being visited by greenbottle type flies

Flowers large and smell quite awful. Growing in rocky, shadier dry areas. Flowers are dull and a pale reddishy purple yellow colour with red lines. Covered with quite long hairs and the bad smell attracts a variety of insects. The straight succulent like stems are 4 angled and a dull green. Grow in large clumps.
