Trichia contorta var karstenii

Christina Lake, British Columbia, Canada
Growing on rotting bark of cut cottonwood tree.
Sporocarps: Sessile, small plasmidocarps 0.5 x 1.0mm, dark reddish brown.
Capillitium: Few, free elaters, not branched, 3-5 bands (left? turn), frequent large swellings, tips enlarged, with abrupt or pointed ends. No spines.
Spores: Large mass, pale yellow, large distinct warts, 10.8 – 13.1um

Sizes
