Newly described species and subspecies, Cottus ohlone pomo, formerly C. gulosus (Moyle & Campbell, 2022). ID characteristics that rule out potentially sympatric C. asper and C. aleuticus: incomplete lateral line, spot on rear edge of first dorsal fin, connected dorsal fins, relatively short pelvic fins, and 19 second dorsal rays.
