Growing wild at edge of bike path, Tupancy Nantucket Conservation Foundation property, open grassland with arrowwood in shrubby patches and borders. Dry sandy soil. Cymes and hypanthia with stipitate glands, leaf petioles and abaxial surface of leaves covered moderately to densely with stellate hairs. Leaf shape variable but some quite round, with thick leathery texture and strong venation.
