Bird seen foraging with a large flock of sparrows. Assuming it's originally an escaped pet, now wild, unless it blew over the Tasman Sea from Australia! Similar budgie (possibly the same?) seen six months earlier with sparrows in a residential garden near the farm.

Bird was a strong flier across the paddock, then into a puriri to stop and preen.
