Under hardwoods; attached to a petiole. Single. Stipe 3.5cm and cap 4mm. Both are covered with stiff fibers running in all directions. Papillae at center of cap, darker than the rest of it. Gills pale and free from stipe. Spores have 1-3 drops and prominent apiculus. It has pointy cystidia on gills.
