Description

So guess I... Total lenght, from forehead to wings tips, about 6,5 cm.
In the centre of the town, two females. 232 m., NW Italy.
At first time I took one of them away from a shop, leaving it on a bush.
One minute after I saw a second specimen, thinking it was the same. I saw in fact the same injury at a leg.
After having seen the photos on pc, I saw that the first female has lost part of the right leg, the second got the same injury, but on the left.
Indeed, the black spots on pronotus side have different margin in the two specimens, so as the small dots on the wings.
Why do two different animals show the same injury? Accidents? Or predation attempts by "urban" pidgeons?
