A trip targeting Duke's Skipper (that eluded us) with Clint Gibson and John Lampkin (in one vehicle) and Don Fraser and me (in a second vehicle).

We drove Main Grade to Powder Road (just inside Lake County) north about 6 miles, then turned around and retraced our path back to County Road 471. We exited Lake County around 1440.

The weather was sunny and up to 94 degrees ("feels like" up to 104) with mostly calm winds.
