With Athrotaxis cupressoides, Phosphaera hookeriana, Podocarpus lawrencei, Microcachrys tetragona. Megastrobili of this plant is a single seed at the end of branchlets, decussate scales enlarging as protective bracts subtending the seed. Megastrobili and microstrobili pictured in this observation. Note drooping ends of branchlets and conical habit, one of the easier ways to tell this species apart from Phosphaera hookeriana, a species that it looks quite similar to at first glance.
