Description

The life-form of interest is represented by the tiny, granular, scarlet spheres.

Each sphere is about 0.4 mm diameter.

On a hardwood twig (likely Tulip Poplar, Liriodendron tulipifera based on the presence of Xanthomendoza hasseana on the same twig) that fell from the forest canopy. Forest tree species include Oaks, Hickories, Maples, Tulip Poplar, Hemlock, et cetera . . . .
