Copper skink. Proof that urban transfers of nocturnal skinks can work!

A dozen adult copper skinks caught and transfered from Mount Maunganui in the early 80s. Released into a domestic garden in Rotorua in an area where there were lots of domestic cats, and no resident lizards.

Population survived and is still there in 2018.
