Visual Description: Long greenish gray strands of organism hanging off branches of oak tree. Strands up to two meters long. Linear, curly overlapping leaves about 3cm long. Leaves have small scales. No flowers visible.
Defining characteristics: growing on another plant characteristic of an epiphyte. Flowers (when present) indicative of an angiosperm. Linear leaves with parallel veins indicative of a monocot.
